Manual-Only V6 Highlights Powertrain Changes

For 2025, the Jeep Wrangler's powertrain lineup sees a pivotal change. The 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 is now exclusively paired with a six-speed manual transmission, dropping its previous automatic option. Buyers preferring the eight-speed automatic can choose from the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, the 4xe plug-in hybrid, or the 6.4-liter V8 in the Rubicon 392. By limiting the V6 to a manual, Jeep reinforces its appeal to purist off-roaders and joins the Ford Bronco as one of the last SUVs offering a stick shift.

New Standard Features and Military-Inspired Color

Jeep brings practical upgrades to the 2025 Wrangler, including power windows and locks across all models, finally replacing manual controls even on the base trim. Additionally, a new '41 military-inspired olive drab paint joins the lineup, reflecting the Wrangler’s heritage. These updates offer a modern twist on the classic off-roader, enhancing both convenience and aesthetics.

Upgraded Cabin Ventilation for Comfort

For greater comfort, Jeep introduces Active Cabin Ventilation, accessible via a mobile app, allowing owners to pre-ventilate the cabin. This addition aligns the Wrangler with the growing expectation for tech-driven convenience, making it easier for drivers to cool or air out their vehicle before entering.

Modest Price Adjustments Across Trims

The 2025 Wrangler lineup includes trims like Sport, Willys, Rubicon, and Rubicon 392, available in both two- and four-door models, except for the Sahara and Rubicon 392, which remain four-door only. Prices see minor adjustments, with the base two-door Sport now starting at $34,585—$695 more than in 2024—while the four-door Sport S has dropped by $395.

Engine Performance Options Remain Robust

The engine lineup remains strong for 2025. The manual-only V6 produces 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, while the automatic 2.0-liter turbo-four offers 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The 4xe plug-in hybrid returns with 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft, boasting a 21-mile electric range. The powerful Rubicon 392, with its 6.4-liter V8, also remains available, offering 470 horsepower.

Premium Models and Limited Editions Still Shine

The anticipated Rubicon 392 Final Edition will continue in 2025, offering Jeep’s most powerful engine and exclusive features. Expected to top $100,000 like its 2024 predecessor, this high-performance model caters to off-road enthusiasts seeking V8 power.
