1. We Have a Date
CEO Mike Manley has confirmed that the Jeep Wrangler Pickup will go into production in 2019, and it may be ready towards the end of the year. If you love this news, then you should start saving money, so you can be one of the first people to drive this historic replica.

2. Historic Nameplate
In the same interview, Mike Manley shared that Jeep is considering using one of the historic Jeep nameplates for the pickup Wrangler. Mike said Jeep will probably use the Gladiator nameplate since the name was used on the 2005 concept for the Wrangler pickup. The options are between the Comanche, Gladiator, and Willys.

3. Fiat Chrysler Automobile Plant
The Jeep Wrangler will be built at the Fiat Chrysler Automobile Plant in Toledo, Ohio. All of the Jeep Wranglers and Cherokees are being built there; however, the Cherokee will change locations to Illinois, while the Wrangler will remain at the Ohio plant.

4. Last Jeep Pickup
The last pickup that was produced by Jeep was the Comanche. The Comanche was in production from 1985 to 1992. Jeep stopped producing the Comanche and shifted its focus to the Dodge Dakota. Before the Comanche, the Willys Jeep was the first pickup Jeep, and it was in production from 1947 to 1965, and the Gladiator came after it, which was in production from 1962 to 1971.

5. Analysts Expectations
Analysts have estimated that the Jeep Wrangler pickup could very well increase Jeep's unit volumes by 45,000 a year. They estimated the Wrangler pickup will be slightly more expensive than the competitors, and its biggest challenge will be the Ford Ranger since it is expected to make a return around the same time.
