Enhanced Tech

The European market's 2024 Jeep Compass is set for a significant upgrade in its tech features. The lineup expands to four trims—Altitude, Summit, Overland, and Trailhawk—each tailored with specific functionalities. Notably, all models receive a 10.25-inch driver’s display and a 10.1-inch central touchscreen, with a significant performance boost in the infotainment system. According to Jeep, this upgrade ensures a five-fold increase in speed, accompanied by standard Apple CarPlay, Android Auto connectivity, and wireless smartphone charging across all variants.

Trim-Level Differentiators

Each trim in the 2024 Compass lineup comes with distinct features. Altitude sports LED reflectors, automatic headlights, and gloss black mirror caps, while Summit models boast 19-inch diamond alloy wheels, two-tone paint finish, and ventilated leather seats. Overland versions prioritize off-road performance with 17-inch black alloy wheels and extra ground clearance. The Trailhawk, designed for robust off-road capabilities, flaunts specialized features like 17-inch black alloy wheels, LED projector headlights, and a 'Trailhawk' badge.

Optional Packs and Safety Features

Beyond trim differentiators, the 2024 Compass offers optional packs that enhance its functionality. Packs like the ‘Premium Pack’ introduce integrated sat-nav, hands-free boot access, and updated Level 2 autonomous driving. Additionally, the 'Winter Pack' emphasizes comfort with heated seats and a steering wheel. Safety remains paramount, with over 80 features including Drowsy Driver Detection, Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking, and more.

Electrified Powertrain Offerings

The 2024 Compass continues its commitment to electrified powertrains, discontinuing ICE-only options in European markets. The entry-level e-Hybrid combines a turbocharged 1.5-liter petrol engine and an electric motor, while the flagship 4Xe PHEV offers two power outputs—187 hp or 237 hp—both featuring the electrified 4×4 system and various driving modes for different terrains.

Enhanced ADAS and Safety Measures

Perhaps the most important of the new features, the ADAS system in the 2024 Compass receives a significant upgrade, expanding its Level 2 autonomous driving capabilities to all road types. This is complemented by a multitude of safety measures including Active Lane Management, Rear Cross Path detection, and Pedestrian/Cyclist Automatic Emergency Braking, ensuring a comprehensive safety suite for drivers and passengers alike.

Future of Compass

The Compass, produced in four different factories and available in over 100 countries, reflects Jeep's global reach and impact. Moreover, it's confirmed that the all-new third-generation Compass will enter production in 2025, embracing fully electric and hybrid powertrain options on the STLA Medium architecture, marking an exciting leap forward in Jeep's commitment to sustainability and innovation.
