When society is crumbling away and you want to hold onto the last vestiges of humanity, this is definitely the Jeep you want to have. After all, it was made for bug out situations.

It won't look like this

The 2020 Gladiator is available at dealerships right now, and this Wayout concept has just recently debuted at Overland Expo West. This new version of the Jeep pickup comes with a rooftop tent, sidewalls, and a canvas awning with an integrated roof rack.

When you need to get away

This concept was made as a sort of gateway to getting away from it all. According to Jeep, it was made around the premise of a bug out kit built into the Gladiator Rubicon's payload capacity and extra space. Right in the front is a 12,000-lb Warn winch as well as aftermarket lights and on the driver's side of the cowl and an outlet for compressed air.

Air bags for versatility

The 37-inch tires are wrapped around 17-inch steel wheels paired with just a 2-inch lift, and an ARB onboard air and air tank from Ram's Air Ride system. The concept also includes a snorkel and a hard-mounted ladder to get to the rooftop tent. The bedside of the Gladiator has built-in jerry can slots that sit flush with the rest of the exterior.

It's not the Hyatt but it works

The bed features a sliding storage system uses one side for storage and the other as a refrigerator. If any trouble arises, there is an onboard air supply to inflate tires and power a Vitamix blender attachment.

Let the modding begin

Under the hood is a standard Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 mated to an 8-speed automatic.

Some of the parts on this Gladiator Wayout concept can be bought but many of them are custom. What is very cool is that Jeep has given the market a great concept that can help buyers see the potential of a Gladiator and spark some inspiration for new mods.
