With relatively low miles on the clock, an original paint, and a restored interior, this Levi's edition Jeep CJ-5 Renegade is about as cool as it gets.

Before There Was The Wrangler

Before the world's most famous off-roader took on the now-legendary Wrangler moniker, Jeep's most capable product was the CJ. The manufacturer has built on the legacy of the CJ in the multiple generations of the Wrangler, always staying on top of the latest performance tech. But the winning formula that made these old Jeeps popular to begin with has stood the test of time.

Special CJ-5

That's why when a clean example of a CJ-5 hits the used market, it garners the attention of Jeep enthusiasts. And this particular machine, a 1976 Levi's Edition Jeep CJ-5 Renegade with original Renegade Orange paint and tan Levi's interior is not just interesting because of its relative rarity, but also because of how great a shape it's in for its age.

Survivor

With a little over 69K miles on the odometer, it can't exactly be categorized as a garage queen. But considering it rolled off the factory line nearly half a century ago, it's safe to say it has been a lightly-used vehicle during its lifetime. And the fact that the paint is still in pretty decent shape attests to that.

Battle Scars

It does show off some patina and a few signs of wear here and there, but the majority of the exterior remains in good condition, especially the Renegade and Levi's markings. Under the hood of this old Renegade, you will find the 304ci AMC V8 motor, which was the top-of-the-line option at the time. The mill is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission.

Restored Interior

Though the exterior is untouched since new, the interior has been given a full refresh. The Levi's tan upholstery has been restored with attention to detail and an eye toward retaining the original character of the special interior trim. The Jeep has also been equipped with a new soft-top to shield the interior and passengers from the elements.
