1. Inspiration from the past

If you look carefully at the Jeep Wrangler, you'll find many Easter Eggs that pay homage to the the Willy's model that started the Jeep craze 60 plus years ago. Easter Eggs in the automotive world serve many functions. Some are more for style, others to locate new ways to make driving more comfortable, and others are to improve car function. It seems that many of the Eggs reported in the Wrangler serve as a design cue that nods to Jeep's special past.

2. Handlebars

On the Wrangler's windshield, where the front seat passenger’s forward grab bar is located, each of the four rims are small styling cues that date back to the Jeep’s heritage as a do-all troop hauler in World War II. Chrysler's vice president for product design says that the need to create useful and interesting "Easter Eggs" has really taken off. For the designers "it's like actively creating a legacy for another generation."

3. Rocky roading

Another cool Wrangler egg is a silhouette of a Jeep climbing a rocky hillside in the corner of the windshield on the passenger side. The grab bar on this image of the Jeep says "Jeep" and "Since 1941."

6. Arachnophobia

When you open the fuel-filling door, you'll see a small but tough-looking spider, which has a small Italian greeting next to it. Since the Renegade was built alongside the Fiat 500X, it is not surprising that we might get a little "ciao baby!"

7. X marks the spot

Even though we don't always hang out above our car roofs, it's important to note that on top of your Renegade there is a giant X. This X print mimics the original markings of the gas cans attached to Jeeps.

8. X gonna give it to ya

These same X markings can be seen in the tail lamps, and excitingly in the center of the headlights and taillights you can spot a depiction of the 7 vertical lines in the iconic Jeep grille.

9. Grille in the bulbs

Keep your eyes open for more depictions of the Jeep grille sprinkled throughout your Jeep. For example, even the rear view housing mirror also has a built in grille on it's side profile. You'll also find them on every door speaker, and even on the inside of the lift gate!
