At $2 / quart assuming you do oil changes every three months it would only take approx 2500 years to pay for the Cummins engine swap with the $$ saved from the oil you were not having to purchase......
Just playing with you .

For sure, this is a mild build for the 12V but 600 HP is still 600HP and in a Jeep we feel it should be enough power to climb a slop or two.
The 12V is full mechanical so there is no chips / programmers needed for this one. As for the trans we are still talking to a couple different companies now re which unit and what parts we will be running on this project. Stay tuned as soon as we know . you'll know. Thanks

ooops my bad...for chips and programer for 12V ! 600HP will be PLENTY of power for this JK build!! Have to ask how many km's were on that 97 12V cummins? I know my pop's 12V 90 Cummins had over 1 million km's and the motor still had more life...just the body an other drivetrain compentents were failing. You couldn't have picked a better Diesel motor to work with! Love my 5.9L 24V HO cummins...bullet proof!

Great idea to put a diesel in the Jeep. I dont know why Chrysler is not making them for the US, I have seen them in Europe. I think that the pickup Jeep has proven over the years to not have alot of interest but if you come up with a diesel mod for the JK you will do very well.
Looking forward to seeing the project come along!
