It was not an answer just saying the 5:13 make a HUGE difference in the way it drives.

On the positive note I'm waiting for a tech call back from super chips. To get a better explanation on this feature with there programmer.

Also the programmer allowed us to turn off the TMPS system and added for an extra 179.99 a few performance tunes.

So to the question 5:13 is not my answer but we have a shop truck on 37 and 4:88 and the Punisher on 40 and 5:13 has much better get up and go.

The JKX Sport has the electronic traction control so I was inquiring if the programmer some how activated an axle locking system on the new 2014.

King shocks Landed today were going bolt then on in the AM.

side note:

The Pick Up is very nice off the Line.

Edit: I didn't see your last post until after my comment because I didn't notice there was another page.

I think that the superchips axle-lock feature you are looking at is for Rubicon models. The ones that come standard with locking differentials from the factory. Since your clients jeep is not a rubicon, and does not have factory e-lockers, that feature does nothing.

There are plenty of YouTube videos showing how the ESC/BLD traction control systems work on JK's. It basically just adds a little brake pressure to help out, and has nothing to do with an actual locker or limited slip being inside the housing.

This is an article which explains the systems.

I thought so. I was just making sure I wasn't the crazy one.

Come on man. Don't tell Del Ray the real explanation. Just give quick witted snippets. It is what has made this thread 22 PAGES LONG! And also what has kept it entertaining. If it weren't for the funny wise ass dudes, it would be more fun to go to Starwood Motors website and "browse" "new" Jeeps build sheets. Hahaha.

....and 5.13's are the answer to "life, the universe, and everything".

Del Rey, no offense, but, you sound just like my minions. They will tell a customer anything and everything on the box the product came in. Then it's up to ME to explain that some features are application dependent, and NO there will be no discount, but there is an added charge if you want everything to work. ( ie.. Back up camera ready, iPod ready, sat radio ready....doesn't mean it HAS a backup camera in the box nor does it have a new iPod included. Etc...)

Sometimes actually knowing about the product being installed and KNOWING about the vehicle it is being installed INTO can go a long ways to avoiding looking like an idiot.

Just point out the programmer had a feature. Not my fault you guys run with it. Anyways the king shocks will be on today and the front diff cover and then we are going do what we do best install the audio system and the lighting.

This has been real fun!

But Collyn, the Jeep has traction control, so it obviously has the ability to lock the diffs. Don't you go bringing logic into this argument. There is no need to know anything about the product you're installing when the customer has deep pockets.

Too bad vehicle knowledge isn't a requirement to be a vendor here. If it were, I wouldn't have comedy hour every time I log on and read this thread. LOL!

Default Jeep Punisher Edition Ep.27 - Forgiato Tello Mounted Super Swamper M16-63R

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9L231Jjqwko So we got the rims and tires bolted the Forgiato Tello Were Custom Cut for the SS-M16 so the bead would lock in and not leak. After a 100 miles test drive there is no wobble and the look of the Punisher is coming along. These Tello were custom cut thicker to provide structure support of the build and the over all weight of the vehicle. Jeep Punisher build is no rolling along on a set of 40X14.50R24 Interco SS-M16 is a tire for all seasons. Several design features have been taken from our best performing all terrain and mud terrain tires. The SS-M16 is highway friendly and very quiet for a tire that has such good off road performance. It is an excellent tire that bridges the gap between the all-terrain and very aggressive off road tires and has a rugged design that will enhance the appearance of any vehicle.

Keep on watching!!
