Hey! Are you a PG local? I see your location as Richmond. Anyway if your in PG and need a hand let me know. If your heading down from PG, me and PGJKU plan to head South at approx 0930 on the 23rd and then will most likely find a camping spot in/near Kamloops. We will meet up with some of the others in Kamloops the morning of the 24th before heading to Princeton. Let me know if your interested.

Speaking of mods. I have a Question for the group about which mod would be better suited to the Whipsaw trail as I've never done it. I'm sure neither are needed but... Diff covers or a snorkel? I've been thinking seriously about a snorkel for "insurance" it provides and well diffs are self explanatory. My budget (wife) should allow me to do one or the other before the run. I don't want to take the thread off topic so just a couple of opinions will suffice.

snorkel 100%... i do have diff covers on order ....but they are for a different trip . i plan to open and drain my diffs AFTER whipsaw. your in for more of a water/mud fest this time of year on the whipsaw. there is only a few spots that require 4Lo and involve rocks. you should also extended your rear diff breather tube before this run.

Thanks. That's the decision I was leaning towards. I plan to extend the tubes this weekend.

X2 on the snorkel for Whipsaw...it's not really needed but more fun if you have it.

The okanagan has had unreal amounts of rain this summer. I just spent Canada day weekend up around idabel lake, where it rained almost all weekend, and some of the puddles up there are WAY deeper then they normally are this time of year. I am thinkin the same will be the case for Whipsaw this year. It's one of the reasons I had to be a maybe on this trip. I was going to extend my breathers next weekend anyway... but I don't think a snorkel will be in my budget before this trip, and based on the water I have seen on the trails in/around kelowna and what I remember from Whipsaw years ago, I am thinking its gonna be a little too deep for my Rubicon at stock height. Maybe if I get my lift before the 24th I will make it, but otherwise I think I will just slow all you guys with 35s and 37s down.
