Default August Manitoba Run

Well, might as well start a thread for the next one. We're all officially addicts now

Paige suggested Aug 7th, that works for me. The only weekend in Aug that's bad right now is the 14th (wedding to go to). How about everyone else, what weekends work for you?

Where is another question, I think it's safe to say we don't want anymore sand!!

Nice. Monthly runs! Cant go wrong with those. Sadly though that weekend is not good for us. We will be somewhere on the road from Calgary back to home on our "honeymoon." The only weekend that is good for both Michele and I would be the weekend of the 21st. I will keep my eye out and see what you guys decide.

i love the enthusiasm here, 48 hours after a run you planning the next. most of the common wheel spots are mainly sand and gravel pits. polycor and rennie are rock but there not for every one. not may trails close by. im curious about whats in and around the brandon area?? i would like to plan a trip with W.H.O.R.E to sandilands in AUG, ill see if there any interest and let you guys know if you wish

We were talking about the Brandon thing while we out there overnight. There would be some good spots out here. Some sand, some mud, some good cozy trails and some good spots to flex! I was thinking about it today of a possible run setup and there are a few options. I was even going to hop on the quad tomorrow and go check out some new spots and see what I could find for the Jeep, all though it would be alot easier with a GPS.....O how I miss! I will put some pictures up tonight of a few good spots around Brandon here. It could be a option for August, or even something later on. All up to the majority.

Here are some pictures from Oak Lake, west of Brandon near Virden. Some pretty nice hills. Takes some pretty good time and patience sometimes. For me, this is probably where I have had the most fun around Brandon. Going to head back out there in a couple weeks and see whats going on.

And then we have some from the Powerline South of Camp Hughs. Brent knows his way around here.

I Definitely got stuck in that hole after him!

Then we could always do some flexing in some old trenches.

And there is always the north Powerline Trial which is a tamer trail with some nice views and usually some horses running around. And North Camp Hughs which have some nice bowls.
So thats what Brandon has to offer, and some more which I have yet to explore. Just some ideas, for when Brandon becomes the next trip.

The Brandon run looks sweet!
I'll be ready to head out in about 10 min, turn the Hella's on and giver!
Either weekend looks good for me.

I did oak lake in the truck a few years back with the WJA group. Davey led the way that time. Its nice and scenic. Very easy overall.

Brandon would be a fun time! We would only be able to make the weekend of the 21st. Still plenty of time away, so we will see what happens with everyones schedule. And figuring since the majority of people wil be coming from Winnipeg and such, could be an oppurtunity for another overnighter. Just an idea.......
