Default I really want a hard top!

Im a newbie and just got my JK a few weeks ago. Its a soft top which is awesome, but the top is pretty beat up and I live in the California Desert. With summer coming, I really want to get a herd top to keep from baking to death. Ive looked at the Wild Boar fastbacks, really cool but soooo expensive. Im looking for someone looking to get rid of theirs, or advice on where to get a good hard top for a good value. Thanks for any advice.

You can normally pick them up for $1200-$1600 on here. CL there's been 2 good ones for sale at $1000, and several increasing from that up to a ridiculous $2200.

Also put a Wanted ad on CL to trade your soft top plus cash for a hard top. You can get a hard top for roughly $500-$700 cash plus your old soft top. NOW is the perfect time to do that, spring time, everyone wants a soft top.

This is really good advice, I am in the process of looking for someone in the MO area to do this very thing. Top + Money for my Hard. Good Luck with your search, It's the summer everyone does want a Soft Top right now.

Thanks guys. I'm really looking hard. But, what will be will be. I just hate the soft too being up. As it sort of busted, it flaps over here and makes noise over there. I just want a good 2-3 piece hard top. Are the hard tops difficult to get on/off? I like no top at all but weather conditions dictate choice eh? I'm in southern cal. Keep an eye out for me. I'll even pay in gold! Including shipping. Peace gents

Saw one on Craig's list in TX for around $1200. At least that's closer to Cali!

Talking

I do appreciate it. I feeling better and better about this JK forum. Im feeling like we can get it done together. I wish more people took gold as method of payment. I could have my gears, lift and wheels done asap! Then I could move on to the "touch ups" not so much the big items!!!
