Are you getting a JL? What are your plans for it?
So there is a lot of buzz around the Jeep Wrangler JL launch, and we are excited to get ours ASAP. But in the meantime how would you build yours?
We have worked with Interactive Garage in the past to showcase our products and are looking forward to seeing what the JL holds for us.
4" and 40's?!??!?!

I ordered a red JLU Rubicon almost 3 weeks ago. I'll have to look at it closely to see what I want to do first, but the first mod I did on my 08 was a Rancho oil pan skid plate. If the oil pan looks vulnerable on the JL, I'll be looking to you guys for a solution like that.
I'm going to run the stock 33's probably until they wear out. I then might go to 35's. They say you can run 35's on the JL without a lift, but I still think a 2" lift will be desireable.
Has Rancho been able to get at least specs on the JL to develop products, or will that be waiting until you get your hands on yours?
I'm looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with!
Mine is a 3.6 manual that, other than cloth seats, will be loaded. Oh, I almost forgot...I'll be adding a Smittybilt X20 10k winch within a few days of taking delivery.

Ordered a JLUR a little over 3 weeks ago. Really excited about this new JL. I've never owned a Rubicon before as my last 3 JK's have all been Sport S's. Not planning on anything just yet since the Rubicon in stock form is prettty much capable of any of the off-roading I'll be doing. I did get the steel bumpers in case I want to mount a winch.

My new JL Rubi is in transit, so I should see it at the dealership any day. It will come to Indy by truck from Toledo, and it is only a 4 hour drive. Man, I'm going nuts! I'll post some pics when I get my hands on it.

Don't plan on getting one myself. Jeep is taking all the fun out of it anyway...that JL Rubicon looks to sit about the same as my JK and has the same tires from the factory. Goodness, leave something for the enthusiast to do! jk, I'd buy one if I was in the market and/or had $$$$.

Guy at work just picked up his new Rubicon, wife was at dealer Friday and saw some new ones. I plan on getting one next year...hopefully they up their wheel choices. I'm not a fan of black wheels and the others look cheap.

I was excited about the JL,-( this will also be my first Wrangler ) - I even joined up the JL forums, but after looking over the prices and specs I’m 99.9% sure I’ll be getting a 2018 JK Willy’s W 2 door. The 2 door JL’s are delayed in production and they’ve already increased prices before I’ve actually even witnessed one “in the wild” ( so to speak).
Plus another negative for me about the JL is it’s a totally new model design/ new tranny, untested in the real world. There could be lots of problems nobody has even discovered yet. My final verdict is going with the tried and true JK.
For around 35K I’m able to get a whole lot more of what I want right from the factory versus settling for a JL Sport or Sport S with only a few cosmetic / convenience options available and still lacking the higher gear ratio performance suspension etc.
If I could wait a few years, I’d consider the JL after all the early bugs have been worked out, but I’m not in a hurry to pay more to be a guinea pig member of FCA’s test market.
