Default Zipper problem

My rear window zipper is stuck. there is a spot where the teeth won't mesh together. neither one of the zipper pulls will go over that spot.

I'm taking it to the dealer tomorrow to see what they can do. If thay can't or won't fix it under warranty. I,m looking for alternate suggestions.

I got half a mind to remove the zipper all together and have velcro installed.

It's not like the zipper offers any security. It has always been a pain in the ass to line up the two zipper pulls when re installing the back window.

Any other ideas?

Thats sucks the zipper is stuck. Do you keep the zippers clean with the Mopar stuff for the soft top. I have found that using the stuff really makes the zippers work easily. Sounds like it might be to late for that with yours though. I bet you can get new zippers sewn on fairly cheap at a canvas shop. I think I would do that before going velcro.

Well I fixed it.

A lot of pulling and lot of pushing and plenty of Vaseline.

I hate going to the dealer to get crap like this fixed.

Go to any SCUBA shop and get some wetsuit zipper lube. It really helps.
