I tore mine up when I got careless while putting in a new steering box. The part was $225 and labor was over $200. It's more than an hour's labor. There was a writeup on this somewhere here. If you try to put it in on your own and screw up, an air bag in your face is the least of your concern. I've done a bunch of stuff to my JK, but it was worth it to me to have someone else do that one.

Well much like most of you my dash lights wents crazy the other day and the jeep almost died then went back to normal. I brought it to the dealer and to my surprise they said clockspring was bad and replaced right then i hope this solves the issues, b/c in one month the warranty is up.
