Default winter tires

I'm looking in getting winter tires for the jeep. i have 255/70R18 stock tires and Blizzak makes a winter tire of 265/70R18. Going to a little wider tire, will there be any rubbing issues.

I run 265/75R16's and they get close when i turn real sharp to the front sway bar, but are fine otherwise. However, the 265/70R18's will be a bit taller than your stock tires. But you should be ok.

Take a look at Dick Cepek FCII tires, I have about 10,000 of which 5000 have been in ice, snow and rain.

It depends on what you want for "Winter" tires. You're in Ontario and your needs will be different than most but similar to mine. I run the BF Goodrich MT KM 255's (stock 08 Rubicon) tires year-around and they work great for me. If you get more ice than snow you will need different tires than I because we have far more snow than ice.

I think you mean BFG MT KM?

Those tires really are not great in rain and snow. They have no sipes, so not many biting edges.

The Blizzak is a purpose made snow tire, and the best one on the market, period.

I just got my '09 a couple months ago but I find it kicks ass in the snow in 4wd. Not sure that winter tires are worth the price.

my stock tires are good on snow, but ice is not good at all. Up here in sudbury ontario, there is too much ice on the roads.
