Default Windshield washer reservoir leaking

Hey everyone. New to this site. I have a 2012 Sahara 4dr. My windshield washer reservoir is leaking just below the pump. The weather here in Illinois has plummeted into the single digits. It has just started leaking. No problem until the weather got super cold. Does anyone else have this problem on their late model wrangler?

Mine just started a few weeks ago. Noticed a spot on the ground, crawled under, wiped my finger, smelled it, definitely windshield washer fluid. Found the pump up top under the hood, and it is leaking out of the bottom of it. Looks fairly cheap to replace, autozone has them for around $16.99 h t t p://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/TAAP-Windshield-Washer-Pump/2009-Jeep-Wrangler-4WD/_/N-jtye5Z9cibf?itemIdentifier=368852_44259_1002_

I haven't replaced it yet, but it looks fairly simple. Looks like the pump is attached by 2 bolts and has an electrical lead.

Might be awhile before I replace due to a possible power steering pump issue.

either the frozen fluid cracked the bottle or popped off a cap or connector.. run your washer nozzle for a few seconds and see if it stops, if so then you probably cracked a hose. my washer doesn't work until i drive around for 20 minutes and everything warms up under the hood..

I also have a leaky washer fluid reservoir. Brought it to the dealer to fix it, but found out later it was on backorder..... still waiting for the new one. I live in Thunder Bay Ontario, Canada. It has been cold, -45 C. The leak only seems to happen below -15C.

Here of some pictures of what I've seen.

I have a '13 and I noticed fluid on the ground today. It was raining and still is, and now its COLD, raining AND dark but I have a feeling that after reading all the threads on this, its a common problem and I might as well expect that I am a victim as well. Will check it in the morning...crap. Recall/Warrantee issue? (please)

Last year mine leaked out half its fluid , took it to the dealer they didn't find any leaks, it was fine all summer, and still no leaks this winter either.

Some washer fluids are rated for colder weather than others. Depends on the concentration of (usually) methanol in the mix. The bottle should tell you how low it's good for (ambient temp, windchill doesn't matter).

Currently my fill is rated to -20F but I'm concerned because I'm not sure what I used last fill or how much was still in there....

Just picked up a '12 JKUR and drove it home across a couple provinces. It is/was super cold during the trip and I noticed the reservoir was leaking the morning of our hotel stay. I thought I might have froze some washer fluid during our -30 highway drive.

Looks like it somewhat common.

Thoughts on if this will be covered under warranty?
