Windshield mounted lights...Glare ???
Those of you with your lights mounted using the KC or Mopar brackets. Please tell me about glare problems if any. Also are you using the long range beams or the driving lights. If you have experience with the bumper mounted versus the windshield mounted please educate me. Thanks...

I have the KC 8" Long range light on the Mopar brackets. I chose the long range to cut down on glare. They throw the light out past the hood a lot better than a driving light. If I'm out front I have no Issues. if I'm In back of someone and it's dusty I have glare bouncing back off the dust. With that said I have glare off the dust even If I turn them off. As far as glare off of the hod? I do not have that. Here are some pics of what I've got. Good luck.

i have the 6" 130W driving lights. no noticeable glare on the hood. my jeep is black - don't know if the color of the hood will make any difference.

130w KC 6" Long range
No glare here... Just two beams o' Sunshine. I don't suppose you would need driving lights if you use your fogs... correct me if I'm wrong, But with my fogs, stock headlights and my KC Lights I have a miniture sun in front of my Jeep. I have the KC brackets as well. and a side note, long range KC work great when you visit a big city and you get cut-off, Blind the jerk and no one else. :toung:

Hey folks -- does anybody else have annoying glare, not from the hood, but from the lights themselves? My hella 500s are bright as I want them to be, but there is a crescent of lens that is TOO bright that is really distracting for me. The bit I'm talking about is the sides of each lens, on the inside where I can see it. I'll post pics if needed, but if you have the problem, you'll know what I'm talking about.

Dave at Northridge has them listed for about $350.
