Wind & The Hood

This happened to me for the first time today around 70-80 mph. I have been that speed a few times but it was extra windy today. Going to have to pull off that hood spring tomorrow...

Ultimate Fix
Okay I found myself in the same boat as many others here on this forum; however, nothing seemed to work. Removed spring= still jumped, 1/4" hose= still jumped, velcro on latch= still jumped. You get the picture. Now the only thing I did not try was zip ties for hood latch, which is not an option for me due to grill mod. Nor did I try zip tie on latch; due to velcro not working same concept. I looked into the Daystar latches, but was afraid of them stretching like the OEM latches ( I was on my second set due to first set being recalled). I liked the idea of the Drake hood latches but not the cost.

Absolutely no more hood lift, and I live in KS and we got quite a bit of wind. Cheap and easy. I did bedline the heim ends once set to length. Wishing I would have plasti-diped them instead. This was due to me not being a fan of bare metal, and I have a "black" out theme on my jeep. Hope this helps and does not muddy the water even further.
