Default Wider Tires on Stock 16" Rims

I have the 2013 Wrangler Sport.
It came with 16" wheels I believe: 225/75-16

I would like to get wider tires to make the stance look meaner. How possible will this be with the 16" rims?
What tire size should fit with the stock setup?

I checked the modified JK thread but it looks like the thread shows the jeeps came stock with 17" Wheels/Tires.

Thanks!

Agree, no wider than a 12.5" tire with 1.5" wheel spacer. Welcome to the forum

Thank you both. Thanks for the welcome to the forum.

From my research I would be looking to get a tire that is 285/75R16 then?

Sounds good and I like em'!
Can you post a photo of them on your ride when you get them installed? I'd like to see how beefy they look.

I have not pulled the trigger yet but... I have been looking at getting the Super Swamper SSR in a 35x10.5r16 to put on the factory 16" steelies. The steel wheels are narower than the 17" aluminum wheels so I feel that a 12.5" wide tire is too wide. This was the tallest tire I can find in a 10.5" wide tire.

Steel rims are 7" wide don't want to run a 12.5 on anything less than a 9" wide run the risk of popping off the bead especially at low psi

Welcome to the forum..... you can also do the Teraflex leveling kit for $130 without using the the wheel spacers.
