Default Why do door locks do this?

When opening the doors with the keyfob, on the second press the pass and rear doors would sometimes not unlock unless I pressed the button a few times. I recently programed the keyfob to unlock all the doors with one button press. Now all the doors open at once no problem. Im wondering why this occured? I know the door locks are controlled by the TIPM. When you program the jeep to open all doors with one press does this change the relay in the TIPM? Just wondering if anyone knows.
