As the title states I’m curious why people get rid of their jeeps? What was the reason? Or have you thought about selling and why?

I seriously thought about selling my 2012 a little more than a year ago. My reason was towing. We love camping and riding the Harley. My 5000 pound toyhauler was able to be towed by my Jku, but I knew I was pushing the limits. I decided to keep my Jku and buy a second vehicle for towing, so I got a 2011 Toyota Tundra. The towing is night and day. With the Tundra, sometimes I need to remind myself I got a trailer pulling behind me.

I really wanted to make a joke here about the Jeep and van both having the same engine but it was actually a Honda not Chrysler.

I've thought about selling my 09 JKU and getting a different model JEEP- not a wrangler but will likely keep it even though we rarely hit the trails. I've only been driving the JKU around town for the last 3 years. We were using it for out of state trips for the first few years but my wife was not comfortable in the seat that long. I sold my old 02 WJ and bought a '16 KL for her and trips. The KL is not as roomy inside but the MPG and comfort are superior. You can really pack a lot of stuff in the boxy JKU.

lol, which time - I've had so many Jeeps it's hard to think of the big #1 reason. Here's a few....
85 CJ7 - parted out and got more money to pay for the 95 YJ - lol.
95 YJ on tons - it was a wheeling only rig and wanted something better for DD. This is probably the one Jeep I wish I had back.
12 JK - traded that and my Power wagon in on a new 3/4 ton Ram and 30' TT
88 MJ - bought as project and ran out of time and room so sold it off. Was a good start with D44s and 36" swampers.
