How often?! A month old- my cheap JK ones do fine cleaning off mud and bugs for the 6 months. Car washes and gas stops. Guess I'll try a little rubbing alcohol on the WJ wipers..

Consumer Report rated all wiper blade manufacturers recently. All the blades tested performed well up to six months and started deteriorating from that point on. RainX and Anco were ranked slightly higher only because of their lower price. Any blade lasting longer was due to environment where they were used. Hot arid sunny versus cold wet overcast. The sun's UV is what really kills the rubber on the wiper. Since their comparison showed them all lasting six months, why pay more for Bosch or other high priced blades? I like the RainX at Walmart, and because I live in the South with extreme sun exposure, salt air, and Lovebug season twice a year, I change them out every six months, and that includes cleaning them everytime I wash my vehicle. Note: Some manufacturers stopped selling refills, forcing you to pay for the entire assembly.

Aanco Winter Wiper blades. 15in. Your local auto parts store will have them or can order them for you. I use them year around.

I got a deal on Teflon 16" but hardly ever use them. Just ensure you liberally apply RainX every few washes. Not as good as on a car but at speeds over 50mph no need for wipers. Cheers
