I drilled a hole , on the passenger side underneath the battery. Then found out theres one you can get to on the pasgr side behind the dash side plate has to come off. On driver side, hole in firewall on autos where the clutch would go.

i thought about going that rout but when i take the windshield down it wont work, it seems as it the drilling a hole would be easier then going through that rubber wrapped boot on the pasenger side.

I drilled a hole and put a piece of 3/8" fuel line through it and ran the wires through that. Zip tied on each side so it doesn't move. Probably silicone it wouldn't be bad either.

If you have an automatic, there's a hole on the driver's side near your feet where the clutch pedal would be. It's covered with a rubber plug, but you can pierce right through that to run wires. That's where I ran all of mine.
If you have a stick, you're on your own .

I guess you are saying the cb location in that write up wouldn't work. I agree.

I'm sorry, but this pic is sideways
If you look close, I ran a 7-pin trailer cable, thru that hole on the passenger side
It handles all my wiring for driving lights/back-up lights and CB
You can route the wires RIGHT TO THE BATTERTY THRU THAT HOLE-STRAIGHT (almost)
Can't beatit
