Default What to use on rubber door seals

I'm putting my hard top back on seeing as it's November, i was wondering what to use on the weather seals? Do I have to spend good money on Sil-grease or is there a much cheaper alternative that will do the job?

Just took my soft top off two weeks ago, sad to see the season end.

I always take this time when I swap tops to spray down all the seals with silicon spray. I just use the Canadian tire silicon lube spray, hit them all wipe it down, even use that little spray tube to get into the little holes found in some seals.

Friend is a class A Master Tech, says people that do this drives him nuts, less job protection or something like that for him. LOL.

Done this to all my vehicles over the years.

Google petroleum jelly and rubber. You will find that the jelly can degrade the rubber. I would use silicone. They sell it in pool stores for treating rubber o rings.

RV stores have slide-out rubber seal treatment foam. Made by Protect all. Works great, no mess.

Default Shin-Etsu Grease

I use Honda Shin-Etsu Grease. I bought a tube of it 13 years ago for my S2000 and have used the same tube on all of my cars ever since. FWIW, I own no Honda stock nor do I work for a Honda dealer, I just like the stuff

I have been using 303 Protectant after a suggestion I read on here. Seems to be doing well for me.
