Default What Power Steering Fluid--2008

What power steering fluid should I use? ATF+4?

Also, what´s the best way to change it? Is there a hose to disconnect, or a drain valve? Or just use suction out ofthe reservior?

Any help is appreciated. I´m getting the old girl ready for another trip to Moab. 187,000 miles and she´s almost ready to go tackle it again!

It is just about.....D.E.A.D.

I used to use just the normal MOPAR ATF4+. These days I'm using Royal Purple, but I really can't recall why I changed tbh. I think it might have been one of those things I had an issue while on a trail and had to put something in from the auto store, and that is what I felt comfortable with. I'd probably just stick with the ATF4+ if I were you. That is only an opinion though

Sounds like Mopar Power Steering Fluid +4 is just ATF+4 labeled to be more expensive. Everywhere I´ve looked, it seems ATF+4 is ok.

Thanks!

Hey, at least you and I are still here, so there is a pulse! LoL!

Did mine 5yrs ago. Jack the front up and drain as much from the reservoir. Refill, that start JK, turn steering back and forth. Off, then repeat, drain and fill 3 or 4 times. Until looking clean. Easy, have been doing that for all my rides the last 40yrs, no issues.
