It can't hurt to ask the dealer about the computer. I had a Sentra that was way out of its regular warranty and the ECU took a shit. Prepared myself for a beating at the dealership and they said the comp was covered up to 80K miles Maybe you'll get lucky with the Jeep

Sorry to about your dilemma. Just a thought, I know you all down that way have recently had your share of rain. Maybe electronics took some water? Hope you get it solved.

X2 what Jon said!

Best of Luck!

Cheers!

This is gonna sound real wierd.... but look inside the tub on the drivers side under the dash. you will see two nuts there with a whole bunch of small black wires connected to them. Check and make sure that both of those are tight. If the one closest to the firewall comes loose the radio will come on, the wipers, and all kinds of crap. Anyway... just check them and make sure they are ok.

The ECM falls under the emissions warranty should still be covered Most dealers have been reflashing and replacing them under warranty
Also check the wires under the dash that bigbluejk referred to that seems to be a major grounding point.

Happened again this morning.

I just opened the drivers door.

Seems like when its cold it happens.

Anyway I opened the hood and slapped the fuse box and it stopped.

I checked all relays and fuses to make sure that the where fully seated.

I checked the grounds under the dash. Are there grounds under the fuse box?
