Default Weight of a Stock Rubicon Unlimited

Someone mentioned they thought the weight distribution on the JK is 60/40. I didn't think so.

I weighed mine today and here are the numbers.

Stock 2008 JK Rubicon Unlimited w/automatic transmission, gas tank half full, no occupants inside:

Scales have current calibration, accuracy within 10 lbs.

Left front tire 1200 lbs.
Right front tire 1200 lbs.
Left rear tire 1100 lbs.
Right rear tire 1100 lbs.

Front axle total 2400 lbs.
Rear axle total 2200 lbs.

Total weight 4600 lbs.

Weight distribution:

52% front
48% rear

Bad but expected in my opinion. 2dr JK is about 1,000lbs heavier than a TJ. Nobody believes me when i say mine weighs over 4,000lbs. It just doesn't look like the thing could weigh that much. about only thing its good for is towing lol.

Those numbers are perfectly consistent with weights provided by several members with access to scales in an older thread.

I was surprised

I looked to see if this was covered before. Didn't see anything.
Can you post a link or two?

edit to add:

Nevermind. I searched for the word "scales" and found some threads.
However, they were not about stock vehicles.
