Weight of 3.8 engine

I'm considering purchase of a low mileage 3.8 engine and I'm trying to get some shipping estimates. Does anybody know the approximate weight of the 3.8 engine?

When I bought mine they (shipper) said it was 500. I think it was a high number, probably closer to 400.

This would be engine only, no trans. It has an auto tranny flex plate and no accessories on the front. I'm guessing it would be around 400.

However, now that I think about it, maybe with the whole pallet and crate it is closer to 500.
