why is it that we can get our hands on this kind of stuff but service departments have no idea about them.

This is a great find/link! It shows the comprehensive TSB. Hopefully it will help out.

FYI, I/we ( my dealer) performed all of these diagnostics and recommended "fixes" all to no avail. Bottom line, '07-'09 was a bad design, plain and simple. My dealer agreed, and went to bat for me with Chrysler. I ended up with a brand new soft top back in December. My front seats have been bone dry ever since!
