When i bought my JK 08 2DR softtop new it has the foam patch at the foam location 1. So it was installed like that at the factory. (the JK had only 6miles on it at the dealer).

It hasn't leaked yet but when i open the door sometimes it drips in from foam location 1 even after quickly closing the door. I might add some more foam myself oneday if it gets any worse.

I don't think I've seen anyone go this long calling the Jeep a car and getting away with it on the forum for this long. Go play the lottery!!

Thanks for the PDF. I don't have any issues yet but I've saved it just incase.

Good question...That's where my leak is. Right side gets soaked.

I had a leak brew up afer I took off the front section of the freedom top last week when the weather warmed up a bit. After I put it back on that night it rained, the nextmorning i woke up and saw that water had been dripping on the passenger side above where the door handle is. I took both panels back off and re-seated them, and tightened the screws a little bit less, and that seemed to solve the problem. We had a pretty good rain two days ago and there wasn't a drop of water to speak of.
