I just had my JK into the deal to fix some hard top leaks (over the radio, above the rearview mirror and above each exit handle at the "A" pillar. After I picked it up, I went for a car wash and it´s just raining in. It's fricking worse than when I dropped it off!

Do these idiots even care and check their work?

You speak the truth. Im getting sick of all the little thing that go wrong with the wrangler. I know everyone will say its a Jeep and they are a off-road and so on and so forth. I don't live in the woods where I hit the trail everyday to get to work.
Is it so much to ask for a car that is a year old that doesn't leak or pop out of gear...
FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I spent $30,000. on a car that has problems right when you drive it off the lot????????? If thats the case then i should of bought a used car (RIGHT)???????????

Same here...leaks at the right rear, where the sub woofer mount is located. I haven't had the JK very long but this is just another "feature" I'm learning about.

I haven't checked this thread over a year. Thanks for the info. I will check it out.

After numerous attemps to fix my leak, the dealers in house body shop finally asked me if I would be ok with them NOT using Mopar parts to fix the leak. They told me that there was a much better weather/gasket material that they would like to try. I asked them if they would continue to stand behind the work if it leaked again, and they said that they would. Well, the replacement has been working for about 6months and I could not be happier!
My local dealer/body shop did a better job than the Jeep engeniers!
Thanks Poulin Jeep!

LOL yeah little pissed off at the jeep right now. I had just gotten home from it popping out of gear at a red light.. and when it pops out it sounds like the transmission just got ripped out . Then i get home and look down after opening the tailgate and see that my sub woofer looks like it is swimming or used the carpet as a diaper. Its a 2009 with 10K miles. Just little frustrating when my 2003 focus with 97K miles has no problems and the jeep is new!

I love my jeep and wouldn't sell it but sure want to kick it sometimes!

Don't let anyone sell you the "it's a Jeep, what do you expect" line. It's $30,000 and the year 2011. Don't expect or accept faulty mechanical parts or bad build quality.
Have you ever seen a Big Mac in the pictures? It's beautiful AND IT'S REAL. The one they give you almost never looks like the picture, and that's ok, cuz it's a couple bucks and your going to crap it out in a matter of hours. But when it comes to my Jeep, the one I plan to keep for many years, the one I'll be paying for for years to come, I demand that it be right. Here's the best part, I now have a Jeep that runs great, wheels amazing and dosn't leak! Did it come that way? No- even though it should have. Persistence and kindness at the dealer has made my JK like the Big Mac in the adds; as good as I can expect human hands to make it!
Nothing's ever going to be perfect, but it better work as good as the one they would want to own themselves.

Yeah the problem with me is that I am stationed is Germany and its hard to talk to the people at the dealership. So when it comes to any issues with the jeep it turns into a pain and they don't know what I am talking about nor really care it seams. I think that they look at it as an american car that wasn't even sold in there country or from there dealership. I know if i was in the states and was going to the dealership i bought it from they would try and would care about the sale. when i bought my other car they would ask me if everything is ok for that hole first year and would wash the car every time i would get a oil change and top off everything. Here they messed up my brand new snowboard rack (I installed it 2 hours before i went) and I told them they did and they denied it. Maybe it is different in the states because its a let down on Jeep's care for a customer.

Bright side I put my lift kit on today only took 2 and 1/2 hours. Bad side I bet it voids my warranty.

Bummer, being out of country sounds like it puts you at a disadvantage. I wonder if the Germans dislike Jeep (Chrysler) for what it did to Diamler Benz? The Germans really lost their shirt on that merger!

Im having this problem. Its leaking out my hardtop in the back driver side. And its also soaking wet in the storage compartment and the mounts for the sub are completely rusted. Can I just caulk the hardtop? Anyone figure out how the storage is getting soaked when everything else is dry for numerous days?
