I have a similar problem. My entire rear window has water trickling down it in the rain. But even worse in car washes! It is a steady trickle that runs down the window in multiple places and pools up in the Jack area.

I have this same problem too. I keep a mag light in the jack area and after about a two day rain I went to get my flashlight out and found it under water. There was about 3-4" of water in the jack area. the carpet was soaked in the same spot by the sub. I have since found out that my jack has rusted shut and I had to cut the cover off the tire iron and jack wrench, they were completely rusted. Now ever time it rains I have to pull the drain plug in that area.

I though I was the only one. Glad to see Im not the only one having this problem.

DOW CORNING 111 is a silicone polymer lubricant. Go to amazon.c@m. No it will not dissolve your seals, it will cause an expansion of the rubber causing a better seal. Im telling you guys, f the dealer, they do not care. Accept the fact that this vehicle has a bazillion ways to leak. Get this stuff, lube it on, and your leaks will go away.

What size/quantity do you guys buy. With regards to shelf life, does the DC 111 store well? Is it better to buy smaller doses? It's pretty expensive to buy a lot and have it go bad.

1 tube will last forever, you can store the stuff at the bottom of the ocean, its not going anywhere.

Good to know. I have some caulks that have hardened over the years.

How do you suggest applying the 111?

I've just found a source for this stuff here in UK
I've had two small leaks in 6 months from hardtop above radio and get occational tailgate window leak.
Never put it through a carwash yet, but it rains alot here !
Would also like to know how much of this stuff to apply to the rubber.

Bump.

I ordered some DC-111 from Amazon and received it the next day.

Question: There are no application directions. How do you DC-111 users suggestion I apply it? Quantity of app on the seals? I was thinking of applying it to the hard top seals, as well as the seals over the "A" pillar and the rear window.

TIA

Got the dealer and the "leak specialist" to take a look.

They say they are going to replace the liftgate bottom seal.

That will happen this friday, we shall see.

One question, do any of the 09 or 10 owners have some foam stickers on the tailgate on the upper corners where it meets the weatherstriping?

The "leak specialist" "fixed" my leak last week and said let it sit for a few days to make sure the new weather stripping adhesive takes. I am going to give it a full week to rest and take my other car because I know it will not work. When i picked up the jeep from the dealer, i had water puddles on top of my insta trunk. The Insta trunk diverts most of the water down the back side of the insta trunk under the rear seat. Regardless of where the water pools, it's mixed with the road salt so it can't be good for anything it touches.

Has anybody received anything from the dealers for their troubles? Whole new hard top? New Scissor jack if that was rusted? Anything?
