Water gurgling noise from dash. Sounds like JKU is about to have explosive diarrhea!

My 2012 did not do this. My 2014 ( just passed 1k miles) does it. Glad I found this and will check a couple things. Any jeep dealership dudes have any more news on this? Really don't want to take it in but might. Mine like others mention goes away after it warms up.

My 2013 Rubi purchased last month had the noise too. Went away totally after a few thousand miles. Also noticed the level in the reservoir dropped an inch or two, so definitely air in the system.

2014 JKU Rubicon w/ ~980 miles. I started hearing the water gurgling sound for the first time a few days ago. It may have been going on earlier but for some reason I shut the radio off before parking the other day so when I started it up I heard the noise instead of the radio.

I can't tell if the consensus is to let the air work itself out or if I should take it in and have the service department look at it.

My 2014 makes the same sound. I'm going to wait a while and see how it goes. Heater and AC work fine. I'm pretty sure it's the self-venting, cosmetic issue as described above because I do not hear anything sloshing around as a result of movement.

Thanks everyone for the valuable insight!

Same model...same results. It just stopped at around 3000 miles.

Good info, now I won't panic right away if/when I hear it...

Just try to remember in a couple of years when you have the system flushed the noise will most likely come back for a while. I never had the noise in my 2012, but I normally have Power Metal cranked up. That way I don't normally hear the shifter rattle in second, and third gear.

Just a FYI-have a 2012 2dr. W/11500 mi. Have water bubble sounds as well*though it only seems to start after warmed engine & I turn the temp. dial (W to Cold or vc. versa) also once shut off-a few sec. later a hydrolic/silonoid sound.like stuff moving around.(switching postions) not that it hurts anything=just dont know what the wizard is doing behind the curtain(dash). =-O maybe door flappers?

I am having the same thing with my 14 Sport. Only about 800 miles on her so far, but I noticed the sound on day 1. I've heard it in other vehicles in the past and I know it is usually just air in the system. Never thought I would hear it on something brand new though! Just gonna keep my eye on the coolant to make sure all is well.
