Water gurgling noise from dash. Sounds like JKU is about to have explosive diarrhea!

My 2013 was doing the same thing. It seems to have gone away now, at 2800 miles. I brought it to the stealership with 500 miles on it to have them burp the system. The mechanic took a drive with me and noticed it too. But for some reason 12 and 13's cannot just have the system burped. Told me it was a self bleeding system. So I called my dad, who just happens to be an ASE Master automotive mechanic. He said it is common with the new cars for this water noise for the first 1000 miles. Told me to keep and eye on the coolant level in the overflow reservoir and every once in a while while the vehicle is cold and level check the radiator level. Hope this helps.

This is from the service people at palnet dodge jeep in Humble Texas. Chrysler told me the same thing.

Yeah the other forum's name in link was killed. Curious to this as my new 13 does it occasionally. I cannot consistently recreate the sound and it fades away once warm.

Working here at a Jeep Dealership. I went back and asked the Service manager and also the head mechanic if there was a fix. Right now, he says because the heater core is so high compared to the coolant level they are having the problem all across the board. He said it shouldn't make the noise we are all right, but that its just a noise and doesn't cause any damage. Also, thats why after we run them for awhile they don't make the noise anymore. If I find out anything else from chrysler side of things, ill let you know!

12' with 11k on odometer and just started doing this as well. With this and the tick in the head, it's time to beat on her a bit. Get her to puke or straighten up. Still love my jeep though, even with all her imperfections.

'13 JKU Rubicon w/ 400mi on the clock, mines doing the same thing. I found this after a google search, and am glad I did now. At least I'm not alone. I'll keep watching, it'll be interesting to see how they end up fixing it.

I had the same issue after my head was replaced on my 2012. By the time I was able to schedule my appointment to get the problem fixed, it fixed itself. Apparently according to them there was an air bubble in the coolant line. What you hear is the bubble moving in the line. What happened in my case through running the Jeep was it had pooped and coolant rushed in. My coolant overflow was near empty and I just filled it up. Problem solved. To check to see if you have air in your line, you remove the coolant cap at your radiator with the engine cold. Preferably over night. Then start your engine with cap off and if any bubbles are in the line, they will surface. You will see them burst on surface of the coolant fluid. Let me know if that helps at all.
