2011 chevy traverse. bought an extended warranty. Have had it in (in a year) several times for the air conditioner, timing belt, etc, and now the engine needs to be replaced. Toyota (where we bought it) found a re manufactured engine, but the warranty company wants to save $700 and put in a used, unguarenteed motor. These engines have a lot of timing belt issues. Can they put in what ever they want? Or do they have to replace it with a certified part?

The answer to that question will be in the written warranty you have. They should be very specific about what parts will be installed.
