Not trying to be a dick but does this problem show up later or is it apparent during delivery when you have the option to do a full walk around of your JK ?

You guys must all either be newbie Jeepers or just thrash and trash off roaders. Jeep has been making wranglers and even cjs with painted flares for decades!!! It neither diminishes the off road ability, nor does it make your busted broken and scratched black flared Jeep any more tough or legit that ours! I have wheeled my "painted flared" Wranglers in places most would only dream of taking them. And they still look great. Maybe it is time to stop being a holes to the painted crowd.... After all we all are Jeepers at heart!

Are these imperfections present when you bought the jeep, or do they appear after you buy it? Sounds more like the nature of the product and not defects showing up?

I never had that issue with my 08 painted fenders. I replaced them with bushwacker flats, but the painted ones are still in the garage and look fine(minus some tree branch scratches). However, the inside of my hardtop was painted like crap. I didn't notice until I painted the interior black last weekend. This section is pretty much hidden above the soundbar on drivers side.

Maybe I got lucky, my painted fenders look great.I think they look better than the plastic look.
I do prefer the mat black roof.
