Default WARNING to future NEW Wrangler owners

Sorry for the link to another forum. Just didn't want to repost
everything about the problem and thought it was a good idea
to help FUTURE Wrangler owners .....
Rob ....

Got my answer from Jeep just now about a problem I have on my 2013 JKU

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Customer:
Case #: 22774897 Vehicle Description: JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED SAHARA 4X4 SPORT UTILITY 4-DOOR

Hi this is Russell your Case Manager. The Business Center has deemed your vehicle as operating as designed and that no repairs are needed.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is in reference to this type of condition ( see this post )

http://www.*************.com/f33/201...ck-124539.html

I do not want to hear how all the plastic fenders have it and it is NORMAL.
It is a HORRIBLE surface preparation before painting on the painted fenders.
Like I said to them and in that post. If it was the same on BOTH fenders
then I would consider it NORMAL. So if your happy spending 30 to 40
THOUSAND dollars of your hard earned money for a crappy paint job
then sign on the line and take delivery. Otherwise .... consider yourself
PREWARNED about it and get it in WRITTING that your Dealer or Jeep
will repair the fenders like they should be. I wish I saw that old post
before signing my purchase order. You should see some of the fenders
I checked at some dealers. I am happy mine are not as bad as those.
Good Luck ...
Rob ....

I too have a 2013 JK Sahara and the fenders DO indeed have small cracks in them, I understand that it is a jeep and that the mid will cover them or they will be scratched or replaced anyways by some, but it is disappointing to see the lack of quality and finesse from a company that I want to succeed because of this vehicle...

They are not cracks but look like they are.
They are the injection mold lines that show on the unpainted versions.
They are just not sanded down correctly before painting.
They use to Warranty the problem but because of the on going
issue plus their refusal to fix the problem at the paint facility
they now refuse to fix it.

this is the exact reason why i didnt get painted fenders (or roof for that matter).

but i agree that crystler should stand behind their products, they should fix this. you like this idea but you could just swap them out to non painted ones.

That does not surprise me at all............
Its unbelievable how easy it is for vehicle manufactures these
days to not stand behind thier product..
All they have to deem is that is within thier performance standards or
within thier operationing standard and your screwed, you have no option
but to contact a lemon law lawyer if you wish to pursue it.

Someone told me to take them to Small Claims Court.
Probably would win also but mine are not as bad as
others I have seen. I just posted this info as a service
to future owners so they will know before hand.
Especially if they are as bad as some as I have seen.
Check them out sometime if you park or walk by one.

It don't matter, they are the first to get scratched/dinged up when wheeling anyways... Thats why i didn't get the Sahara!
