Valve/Lifter tap?

72k on a 2009 replaced lifters and it started tapping two days later.
i just spent 3k on getting new lifter and pretty much the top half of my engine replaced. i asked if that would fix the problem and they stated that i should start using 5w50 just in case. 2 days later there is the tapping again. called and asked if they were 100% sure thats what it was. so i dont know what to do. have to much invested to back out now.
