on vacatiin need help fast!!!!!!!!!!
I drove 14 hours to la no problems at all until 20 miles from la my jeep went into what people call limp mode it wouldent rev over 2500 in gear and check engine light came on. So I was parked in the middle of i5 not knowing what to do so I turned the jeep off then back on and started driving it went over 2500 now but when I get up around 3k rpms it looses power does anyone know what the problem could be. Its a 2010 6spd with 16k miles I heard that'd there is a sensor in the tranny that goes bad when it gets to hot but wasn't sure if it was the same in the 6 spd and auto I'm 14 hrs from home please help

You can watch the Tach "RPMS" while cranking on alot of cars and if theres no movement that may be a good indicator its the Crank sensor. I've worked in a few different manufactures dealerships and from my experience when the crank sensor is bad nothing happens "no start". Not too much experience with broken Jeeps though. Hope this helps.

I could but they won't warranty it because of the mods. I hope to make it home cuz the dealer I bought it from said they will warrant it with the mods I wanted to do.

If disconnecting the battery helped then I would guess its some type of Node or Module not a component such as a sensor. What type of mods do you have that made the dealers deny your repairs?
