Using a 2010+ Full Door on my 2008 JKU Half Door w/ Soft Top
I will be purchasing full doors (manual windows/locks) for use with my 2008 JKU half/door with soft top. From searching the posts it appears there is a difference in the door surrounds between 2007-2009 and 2010+. Will newer 2010+ full doors work as is - or will I need to pull off/ modify some plastic channel or something on top of the newer full doors to make them work with my 2008 soft top?

Since the door surrounds are for the soft top and not part of the doors I don't think you will have any issues. I would test fit them when I went to purchase them but I doubt you will have a problem.

The difference in the door surrounds is to accommodate the "new" cable style soft top as opposed to the old clip in style. The doors will bolt up just fine.
