Used Oil Analysis on 2008 Wrangler with 84,210 miles.
Attached is a UOA on my Wrangler. Last 2 oil changes were plain old Pennzoil Yellow Bottle 5w-30. My engine seems to like this oil. The earlier oil changes were Mobil 1 T&SUV 5w-30.
My engine still runs great. It uses a quart of oil about every 3-4 thousand miles.

I think NAPA sells oil sample kits. I get mine from Blackstone Labs. Go to their website. They will send you the kits free. You pay when you send the sample in.
A couple of thought on oil in the Wrangler. My first oil change or so I used 5w-20. While crawling around the desert here I noticed the engine was a little noisy. I used 5w-30 since then with good results.
With all the threads about the 3.8L engines self destructing I figure the occasional UOA is money well spent. My engine seems to be doing fine.

Blackstone charges $28. If you want TBN checked it is an additional $10. I think NAPA is cheaper. I've been using Blackstone for so long I figured I would stay with them.
Results are pretty quick. Mail off the sampler and a week or so later get the results via email

TBN (total base number) measures the amount of active additive left in a sample of oil. The TBN is useful for people who want to extend their oil usage far beyond the normal range.
The TBN of a used oil can aid the user in determining how much reserve additive the oil has left to neutralize acids. The lower the TBN reading, the less active additive the oil has left.
I try to change oil at around 5,000 miles so don't bother getting the TBN checked.
Not a dumb question at all.

Amsoil dealers sell them prepaid with shipping. I am a dealer and my cost is like 26$. I Think retail is 35$ and comes with TBN. It also comes with a breakdown notes and 24 tech support to explain any issues with you sample. Also they make a pump for 25$ to draw the sample thru your dipstick tube which is the best way to pull a sample. Amsoils sample also test more for more items than other companies. You can also order them direct yourself online.
