Used 2015 Rubicon Hard Rock repairs
Hi,
Looking at a used 2015 Rubicon Hard Rock Unlimited with 38k miles on it...the carfax shows that in that time the following have been replaced:
Is this thing a problem child that I should avoid? Its a dealer sale, but they picked it up at auction.
I haven't replaced any of those items on my 2007 with 131k miles...couple of water pumps and leak detection pump.

- drive belt tensioner and pulley
- power steering pump
- radiator
- 730N radio
- blend/divertor door actuator

pretty normal stuff. I had to have my radiator replaced on my 2014 and is a common problem as well as the blend actuator for the temp control.. none of that would bug me.

The radiators around '14/15 really seemed to have sucked, so that is pretty common. Kinda surprised tensioner and PS pump would go in 30k some miles. Who knows on the radio, and the blend door, although common, seems weird to go so soon. If the price was right, I don't think those things would scare me off though.

Like resharp said, pretty normal stuff, BUT not at that kind of mileage. Odd, but if the price is right then go for it. None of those are big or expensive parts...just...weird to hear all that being replaced at that mileage.

Nothing there is anything big, I'd take them as new parts and be happy. I've had my share of small items like these at even lower miles on two previous and now my 3rd JK with only 13,000 miles on it. I've had two with bad catalytic converters actually one at 70 miles and my most recent one, who knows how long it was making noise under previous owner.

Actually with some of those repairs, I'ld be thankful they've been done since most are pretty common. You would definitely be happy to not have to replace that blend door assembly because it's a tough one to do.

Another question: do the heated seats normally take some time to heat up? the ones in this JK do. I'm comparing against my '13 Suburban that you can fry on egg on pretty quickly (setting 3 is only bearable for a little bit)...

I find my JK heated seats not as strong and yes slower than other cars I've had with them. Of course it's all subjective, our Jeep Compass were instant I could't stand them on high. In the Jk wife commented are these even on but they get there eventually. We have the mesh over leather on our Backcountry edition and I think part of it is the mesh creates a barrier between the leather and rump.

Thanks guys...agreed on a price yesterday ! Once they replace the driver seat skin (a little too worn for our tastes), we'll ink the deal.
