I've noticed mine cracked open. I just assumed I bumped the handle while opening/closing the door.

only my rear drivers side window does this and both handles are in the same position. its not a big deal, i just have my daughter roll it up when she gets in!

I had this problem in my 08 unlimited.

The secret to removing the crank window cranks is to use a rag / t-shirt sleeve / sock

Get the rag behind the crank (hooked around the crank at the base) and start pulling it back and forth. There is a little metal ring in there that Will pop off when you rub it just the right way.

They do sell a tool to do this, but I have always used a t-shirt sleeve.

It has a little spring clip that holds it on. Takes a specific tool if you wanna do it easy. Doesn't cost much at all.
