when I did my axle bearings I couldn't press them off so they were cut off with a cut off wheel on a die grinder and then the shaft cleaned well and the new stuff all pressed on, I have had to 3 axle bearings all on the right rear of my jeep for some reason (first 2 were on the same shaft 3rd was a different housing and all) and that's how its been done everytime and has worked well (maybe not the 1st time lol )

At our shop we charge $30.00 to do the bearing swap. And you should change the seal sense your there anyways. Just take it to your local machine shop. It only takes 15 minutes to do the job.
