TSB's and receptionists...
We just made an appointment for the brake recall. My wife also mentioned on the phone how our jeep is hard to start. She then mentioned the TSB for it, as soon as she did the receptionist became a total bitch and said "our techs will decide what needs to be fixed and what doesnt. " My wife said "ok, I just wanted to get that checked while..." and the bitch cut her off again and said "mam, our techs will decide what needs to be checked" WTF?!?! Things should be interesting when we take it in next friday.

I'll see how it goes. I've dealt with the service manager before with my dodge and he is pretty fair and my dad is freinds with the owner, so I would prefer to use this dealership. Hopefully she isnt as bad when we get there, cuz my wife might knock her out I just couldnt believe her attitude, then my wife got mad at me for telling her to mention the TSB! The other dealership I used to deal with was always happy I looked up the TSB's before I called them with a problem. Anybody else have this happen when they mention a TSB?

I hear you man. Same thing happened to me. I got the "we can't just order parts" crap. Needless to say that when I had the jeep there after they "looked" at it they said they needed to order the TSB so I had to go back. I wanted to smack the Service advisor in the face, if they only would listen they could save ppl so much time. They're fking great at wasting time. When you take it there and they "look" at it they'll tell you that you need to bring it back for them to order the tsb parts.

I also got the we just cant order the parts crap. I do somewhat agree with them when they say they need to check it out first to make sure that the truck does have the symptoms we are telling them by the TSBs, but those 9 to 5 secretaries that are going through a crisis dont have to be bitches to the public IMO. I couldnt believe my dealership, I told them about the clutch TSB for 3 weeks and all i got from them was we have to see it first then we'll make the determaination if you need it or not. But when i walked into another dealership they ordered it right away without even looking at the jeep and now im scheduled in for next weekend...just like that. I guess its certain people you talk to at these dealerships.

Best of luck! It sounds like Ms. Receptionist should seek another line of work... I'd go to the service manage or dealership GM, your wife didn't have to take that crap!
