Default Tread Life of KM's

How do you measure the tread life of the Rubicon KM's? I only have 23,000 miles on my rubi and the tires look and feel pretty shot. Although they did pass inspection last week. How many miles is everyone else getting on these?

I rotated mine at 6600 miles, and my tread was worn down 3/32 on the rear and 2/32 on the front (17/32 tread on rear, 18/32 tread on front, 19/32 tread new).

At this rate, I will be at 2/32 at around 35k miles.

I've had several sets of BFG MT's, over the years, on different Jeeps. I don't ever rotate them, (My bad). I generally get 30-35K miles before I replaced them. Usually with another set of BFG MT's. The BFG MT's are very similar the KMs on the Rubi. A good set of mud tires will only get between 30-35K mi before they really cease to be useful in the mud. It’s the soft compound used to make the tires flexable

FYI - I did run Swamper TSL/SX's for a while. I went back to BFG MT's.

I assume you mean 19/32 of an inch? How do you measure this. Is their a special tool?

Any depth gage will do, here's what a good one looks like...

At the price of the BFG MT's from Tirerack (around $100) it's hard not to stick with them.

EDIT: THe guy on this thread https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/stock-jk-tech-12/56000-going-strong-78758/ says he's got 56K miles on his stock tires

Yes, 19/32 of an inch. I have a depth tool like the one Yellow Toy showed.
