Transmission Shudder...
Ok, so more fun....
My transmission goes into a violent fit when put in reverse on a hill... Starts shaking pretty bad.
Any ideas?
Jeep says its "Normal Operation" WTF is all I gotta say about that!!

Previous experience I've had would suggest that either the clutch springs or lose\worn transmission or engine mounts as the likely suspects; reversing on a hill usually amplifies these issues to make them quite noticable.

Jeep has only 3K miles on it and has done it since day 1, also I test drove a Jeep with about 10 miles on it and it did hte excat same thing.
Automatic...
Only time I have ever seen this was when you over loaded an automatic transmission... and mine does it when its has just me in it. Last time I check 250lbs should not be too much for a Jeep rated to tow 3500lbs...
I am working on getting it sold back to Jeep...

So Jeep Said they would call me back today before 6pm EST... Still waiting Jeep... Good news is I have the internet and a lot of free time to make sure no one else gets screwed and we raise our voices up and demand a better product from Jeep. They need to quit relying on the name and start living up to it!!!

Mine too, no weight other than my family backing up a steep paved road. Started shuddering then I started to coast down the hill, until I stomped on the gas and something seemed to have caught and I started backing up, until it did it again, I just drove down the hill and turned around. The dealership said they could not duplicate the problem and it was probably a problem with some sensor (don't remember) I know every-time I take it in, I'll be asking about it, since they closed the dealer that was doing my repairs.
