Transmission Issues 2017 JKU P1731, P0730, P0732
I have a 2017 JKU Sport with Rubicon rims and 33" tires. No Modifications and 76K had the wheels for the past 60K.
During the last few days i started to have transmission issues. Start the engine put it in Drive or Revers and nothing happens. Turn it on and off a few times and it starts to work when moved to D or R. and it worked normal. (No engine light not sure about engine codes)
Yesterday i took it to an auto place and on the way to the shop the engine light came on and the shop found the following error codes p1731, p0730, p0732. They said the transmission is building pressure and then loosing it due to damaged components inside the transmission.
When the gears engage they bump the car forward forceful engagement.
The Jeep is i believe in limp mode at this time not going past 2nd gear. Didn't notice any overheating. The fluid levels seems ok and not smelling bad.
Does anyone had similar issues and what did they end up doing ? The shop advised a new transmission and gave a price of $6000.
Thinking of taking it to another place and have them change the fluid and replace the filter hoping that this will show if the parts inside the transmission are "shredding".
Any ideas i could check or replace don't want to spend $6000 on a new transmission. Transmission thermostat, pump ?

If the fluid is at the proper level, has no black particle spec or discoloration I see no reason to change the fluid. You might try checking linkage. Other than that it sounds like it has to be fixed either way.
