trailer hitch reciever?

I almost bought the smittybilt, as it was the 'most affordable' when you look around. However, I ended up going with OEM, because someone took theirs off. Think I paid $50. Smittybilt was $53 best price, i think.
When you look at what it mounts to, and how much your Jeep will tow, I think you end up realizing it doesn't matter, since the hitch will meet or exceed the Jeeps capability.
For me, I just needed it for a bike rack, so it didn't matter to me.

I have been looking and it seems that most of the 4 bolt will tow 3k and the tongue weight is almost all 300 lbs. Doesn't seem to be much of a difference. I am going to go with the smittybilt.

+1 for the OEM hitch , most of after market bumpers came with a hitch receiver , so you cans find one for cheap , and also buy the OEM harness for wire (about 40$ CDN )

Get the OEM one - bolts on easy. Get the OEM wiring harness and if you have a 2009 - you get the anti-sway feature. It's not a computer flash for a 2007. I tow every day 2000 lbs. Carpentry tools - no problem. Also look into if you have an automatic - whether you need a Tranny cooler or not. Mine came with one.

oh, and btw, MacsJK... I think I saw you driving around this weekend. Only a guess based on the color (haven't seen too many of that color around here)
