Who else here doesn't like this feature? The thing goes off with a slight pressure drop. I can physically see of my tires are running low on pressure!

You can thank big brother for it. Buy a pro cal and set the pressure to 0. You'll never see the light on again

You can't see a low tire while going down the highway at 70 mph.

If the average motorist would check his tire pressure once in a while, TPMS would never have been thought of.
I see lots of dummies tooling down the road with one or more tires quite low.

I don't particularly like TPMS but for other reasons. Cost. The modules last 5-8 years then each tire module must be replaced at $40-60 per tire. The aluminum stems can break but the updated stems are now rubber and must be used with new modules if you want to update your wheels. An advantage of TPMS, is if you have a slow leak, you'll know it before it goes totally flat. I was one that faithfully checked my tire pressure and still would but don't now. I rely on the system to tell me. Dumbed down again. If you remove the modules and go to normal stems as mentioned in other TPMS threads, you risk failing your state's safety inspection. Most shops wont do it for legal reasons. I use a cheap 12v pump to keep pressure above 30psi on the coldest days and avoid the ding. BTW, 1 ding, 1 tire low, 2 dings, 2 tires low, 3 dings etc etc

How have a Procal, and right now it is at 15 psi. When I change tires I am just going to take them out, and turn off the system. I can change them myself at a friends garage. I check my tires every week anyhow.
